This project is fully dedicated to David Lynch and his beautiful heritage that will live forever.
I am a great admirer of Lynch’s work and his approach to art. His unconventional and dissimilar universe immerses you in a vast, thousand-door storage full of mixed statements and infinite possibilities. Questions with many interpretations that never find definitive answers. Because in his system, “correct” is a restricted word. Lynch’s cinematic view is visually shaped by his bespoke and unique sense of framing and composition, as well as his obsessive attention to detail.
"Chasing Laura Palmer" was made in 2021, commemorating the 75th birthday of the genius who is unfortunately no longer with us. Like David, I believe in positive energy and the power of love to connect people across distances. I am grateful we decided to shoot this tribute while Lynch was still alive.
Perhaps it brought him a smile one morning before he lit his first cigarette.
