'Going Underground' is perhaps my most longstanding and (still) ongoing project.
The idea behind it is to invite viewers to contemplate the anonymity and interconnectedness that define metropolitan existence.
From the labyrinthine corridors of stations to the brief encounters between strangers sharing a platform or a train seat, this series explores how the metro, with its blend of motion and stillness, transports human emotions and thoughts, both fostering connections and sometimes fracturing them.
Each captured portrait and scene reveals a microcosm of emotions and experiences, focusing on both the individual and the collective.
These photographs offer a glimpse into the intimate yet universal moments that unfold when we descend into the underground arteries of modern cities.
