Rara Avis is a Latin phrase meaning literally a ‘rare bird’; a phenomenon, something unique. The concept of this photo series is to show rare or even unique scenes and emotions observed in various museums, exhibitions and art displays. The Rara Avis caught in these frames are not the pictures, photos or sculptures that attract people, but the people attracted and their reactions. It has been an abolutely fantastic experience to study the manifestation of people’s responses to art and the feelings of curiosity, wonder or immobilisation evoked by it.
