The Grand Flaneur Walk is the annual event organised by the Chap magazine that promotes the gentlemanly way of life.
On this day dozens of dapperest chaps and chapesses of London join the so-called saunter sans purpose. This year meeting faced the most flamboyant ladies and gentlemen in the outfits ranging from the 18th century popinjay to 1930s vamp and 1940s pimp.
I’ve read about this event several times and was absolutely happy to attend it on 11 May 2025. I was impressed and delighted to share the joy of these enthusiastic eccentrics bringing the authentic vintage atmosphere to the West End streets on a Sunday sunny afternoon.
